TWILIGHT Fan Trips Vampire Baseball exhibition games benefit various charities at venues throughout the U.S. The most recent was played in Portland, Or., to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon.
Barresi most especially wanted to promote the game scheduled for March 20 in New Orleans, which pits the stars against members of the Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints Football Team. This event will benefit the 9th Ward Field of Dreams in New Orleans and, in addition, Haitian Relief. It also coincides with the release of the New Moon video to DVD.
Online streaming of the pay-per-view broadcast will air as well with proceeds going to the charities, http://www.celebrityvampirebaseball.payperlive.com.
In addition to the nine-inning exhibition game with the stars, other activities will be autograph and photograph sessions with the stars, opportunities to meet the stars in small groups called "Cozy Coffees," a party and concert after the game, and a variety of merchandise to purchase from many vendors. She shared that in addition to the Twilight and New Moon cast members, a special treat planned is the addition of Nelsan Ellis who plays the hugely popular character Lafayette Reynolds in the hit HBO series True Blood.
Following this event will be another in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 22, where the Twilight Saga stars will compete with Olympic champions to benefit the Special Olympics.
