Glendalough

Sure and begorrah, if you're looking for an Irish-themed sim to explore, you'll know you've found your pot of gold when you discover Glendalough (133/146/23).  Owners Rudolf Moo and Lilly25 Connolly tout Glendalough as a 'Romantic  Irish Island for Romantic Souls' and have designed a touch of Ireland that will charm and delight you.

Exploring the lush green forests and countryside really gives you the feel of the beauty of the Emerald Isle with a majestic waterfall cascading into a sparkling river where stately swans swim casually to and fro.  Nearby stands the tiny chapel of St. Kevin, painstakingly replicated by Moo based on a historical landmark at the RL Glendalough.  The candlelit ruins of the Abbey provide a beautiful backdrop for romance while a breathtaking ballroom amid the ruins affords visitors an excuse to stay awhile and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere while holding a loved one tenderly.

Before retiring for the evening, visitors can grab their shillelagh for the short walk to Lilly's Irish Pub for a night cap where Guinness is on tap.  The friendly atmosphere at Lilly's beckons guests to linger longer than intended to enjoy the music and some Irish dancing.

A guest at the pub, Justise Barcelos, a creator/designer, was inspired to create his leprechaun avatar after visiting Glendalough.  He explained, "The lush beauty and the gorgeous builds along with the warm feel of the pub all played a part in sparking my interest in Irish folk lore."

All visitors are welcome to participate in the Irish Blessing Hunt running through St. Patty's Day, March 17.  Shopping is available as well with merchants like Angel Dessous Designs, LC Creations Furniture, di's shapes, and BeaTTie Jewelry.
